This means that copper core circuits generate less heat, have less power loss, and are more energy-efficient for long-term use.<\/p>\n<p>1. Electrical conductivity and energy consumption: \u00b7 The conductivity of copper core is 1.54 times that of aluminum core, and the current-carrying capacity of copper core is 30% higher when the cross-sectional area is the same.<br \/>\n\u00b7 The temperature coefficient of aluminum core is higher, and the power loss of aluminum core is 35% higher than that of copper core under 60\u2103 working conditions.<\/p>\n<p>2. Mechanical strength\/Compression resistance and fatigue resistance: Copper-cored cables are resistant to bending and stretching, and are less likely to break even after repeated bending; whereas aluminum-cored cables have low mechanical strength and are prone to deformation under long-term stress, posing a risk of line breakage.\u00b7 The tensile strength of copper core is three times that of aluminum core. \u00b7 However, aluminum core is prone to creep under dynamic load, posing a risk of joint loosening.<\/p>\n<p>3. Corrosion resistance: The surface of aluminum core is prone to oxidize, forming an insulating aluminum oxide film, which can lead to increased joint resistance, heating, and even ignition. Copper core has strong oxidation resistance and is more stable in humid, acidic, and alkaline environments; \u00b7 In humid air, the thickness of the oxide film on aluminum core reaches 5nm after 72 hours, and the contact resistance increases by 30 times; the copper oxide film is only 0.3nm thick, which has no significant impact on conductivity.<\/p>\n<p>4. Safety risks: Aluminum has a low melting point (660\u2103), making it prone to melting and causing fires during short circuits; copper, on the other hand, has a high melting point of 1083\u2103 and maintains structural stability even at high temperatures.
